Inter + 60min Weekly Classes

Our Intermediate Acro class is designed for children aged approximately 9-12yrs, however, placement is also ability-based, so some younger or older students may be better suited to this level. In this class, students continue developing their acro technique whilst building strength, flexibility and conditioning. Dancers work on progressing skills such as balances, limbers, walkovers, handstands, cartwheels and partner work, whilst improving control, coordination and confidence. Classes are fun, challenging and supportive, with students encouraged to progress safely at their own pace under the guidance of our experienced and qualified teaching team. Children are assessed regularly to ensure they are in the most suitable class for their ability and progression.

Lyrical combines contemporary, ballet, jazz and modern. The focus is on story telling through dance, using the lyrics to to influence choreography.

45 minute engaging sessions based around letters sounds. Each class focuses in on pronunciation of sounds, listening skills, hearing and discriminating sounds within words and oral blending with our lovable, cheeky mascot, Robot Reg. This is encouraged through multi sensory activities and games using music, visual aids and actions. Each week, learn a new sound, collect a letter card and have lots of fun. Plus, strengthen your gross motor muscles with our Pom-Pom dancing and fine motor muscles with playdough and disco lights in Robot Reg’s Rave! Children, and adults alike, can enjoy learning and practising early phonics skills, whilst engaging in these fun, high energy sessions together. The perfect pre school class!

Camp notes Our five-day Moana Show in a Week is a magical theatre experience where dancers learn routines, sing, and bring the story to life. With scripts provided and groups split into junior and senior sections, the week builds to a spectacular showcase at SDA on Friday at 2:30pm 1 ticket per child is included in the cost, extra tickets available to purchase. Cancellations: A 50% refund is available 21 days before the workshop start date, after this date workshops are non refundable. Please understand we are a small business and costs must be covered. We have an hour scheduled for lunch. During this time children will be allowed to go to the park next door with an SDA member of staff ⏰️Time keeping: Please ensure you are on time, ideally arrive no more then 10 minutes before start time. Teacher - Jess Pointe Please speak with your ballet teacher before joining this class. Pointe is for students that do at least 2 ballet classes a week and are physically and mentally ready for the class. We slowly develop and build pointe skills making sure students have a very solid foundation and understanding of the technique. Students must do a demi pointe class first before joining a pointe class.
