Advanced Street & Contemporary

Our Advanced Street & Contemporary Dance class is a hour and a half with 45 minutes of street dance and 45 minutes of contemporary dance for children aged 14-19yrs old. Students will learn street dance skills and explore and build on contemporary technique whilst building confidence, coordination, musicality and performance skills in a positive and encouraging environment. Children in this class have the opportunity to take IDTA street dance examinations and also take part in our annual theatre show.

Grade 2 Ballet

Our Grade 2 Ballet class is designed for children aged approximately 7-10yrs who are ready to continue progressing through the IDTA Ballet syllabus, or for students starting ballet at this age. In this class, students further develop their ballet technique, posture, coordination, musicality and performance quality in a fun, encouraging and structured environment. Dancers will work on ballet exercises at the barre and in the centre, learning steps and routines that help improve strength, flexibility, balance and confidence. Students also continue working towards their IDTA examinations, helping them build discipline, achievement and a love for dance. At Danceforce, we focus on creating a positive atmosphere where children can grow in both technique and confidence while making friendships and enjoying their dance training.

Junior Musical Theatre

Our Junior Musical Theatre class is a fun, energetic class for children aged 4-8yrs who love to sing, dance and perform! Students will explore all aspects of musical theatre including singing, acting, dancing and imaginative performance games in a supportive and encouraging environment. Classes are deigned to build confidence, creativity, coordination and stage presence while allowing children to make friends and express themselves through performing arts, Children will learn routines inspired by popular musicals and upbeat songs whilst developing performance skills, facial expressions, storytelling and teamwork. This class is perfect for children who love to perform but who would benefit from building confidence in a fun, welcoming atmosphere! Students may also have opportunities to perform in our annual show and other Danceforce performances throughout the year!

Junior Non-Syllabus Ballet

Our Junior non-syllabus Ballet class is designed for children aged 7-11yrs who would like to develop their ballet technique in a relaxed and creative environment. This class is perfect for students who already attend a syllabus ballet class and would like additional training to further improve their technique, artistry, musicality, flexibility and performance quality. Dancers will explore extra steps and combinations beyond the syllabus, helping them grow in confidence and become more versatile performers. It is also ideal for children who have some previous ballet experience but would prefer to enjoy ballet without the pressure of taking examinations. Classes focus on graceful technique, strength, posture, expression and enjoyment, while encouraging a love for dance in a supportive and inspiring atmosphere.

Our Grade 1 Ballet & Primary Tap class is perfect for children aged approx. 7-9yrs who want to develop their Ballet & tap technique, rhythm and performance skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Students learn the foundations of ballet & tap dance including basic steps, timing, coordination, musicality and travelling combinations, while building confidence and performance quality each week. Classes are energetic and engaging, helping children improve technique while enjoying dancing. We follow the IDTA syllabus and students may work towards dance exams when they are ready, giving them goals to work towards and helping them progress through the grades. Children are supported to develop at their own pace in a positive class atmosphere whilst making friends and growing in confidence.
