The Outdoors Group is an outdoor education company based in Devon. We run Forest School sessions from four sites at Exmouth, Escot, Okehampton and Totnes for children aged 0-16 as well as adult training at our Exmouth site. Our sessions include: Toddler Clubs Home Education groups Holiday Clubs Birthday Parties Sessions for groups from schools Since 2011, we've been working young people from all over Devon and have had the privilege of watching thousands

of children grow in self-confidence and helped them foster a love and respect of the outdoors during their time with us. We are passionate about play and giving children the space and opportunity to follow their own interests and lines of curiosity during their time with us. No two sessions look the same, but activities might include woodworking, campfire cooking, nature discovery, fire-lighting, games and outdoor crafts.

Our two hour Summer family Clubs are the perfect opportunity to get outdoors with your toddlers and their older siblings and watch as they play and explore in the woods together. We’ll keep you warm with hot chocolates for them, and tea/coffee for you, and each week a different activity will be on offer from woodland crafts to woodwork, from campfire cooking to bug hunting – no two sessions are the same! These sessions are suitable for children from birth to age 5 and siblings aged under 9 (although most parents choose to wait until their children are walking). 1 ADDITIONAL ADULT CAN ATTEND WITH THIS BOOKING

Home Education Family Group Escot
A family group for home educating families in the woods. Our Home Education Family Group is for home educating families to attend with their younger children before they are old enough for our all day sessions. Whilst the majority of attendees tend to be under 7, older siblings are welcome to come as well. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other home educating families and to have some fun in the woods, exploring our beautiful grounds and getting some dedicated time for child-led play and forest school activities. Each session involves fire lighting, a led activity (such as bird feeder making, woodwork, team games, campfire cooking and more!), hot chocolate and plenty of time for exploration and fun in the woods! 1 ADDITIONAL ADULT CAN ATTEND WITH THIS BOOKING.

ITC Level 3 Forest School & Paediatric 1st Aid
Gain the necessary skills to safely administer First Aid in a Forest School setting Having appropriate First Aid training is a necessary requirement for those wishing to run Forest School sessions at their own site. Forest School First Aid covers the practical skills needed by those who work in Forest Schools, providing the confidence and knowledge to comprehensively deal with life-saving emergencies in the outdoor environment, including first aid for adult helpers. The Paediatric First Aid training ensures that you have the appropriate adaptations to your First Aid skills for use with children, and satisfies the Early Years Foundation Stage practice guidance and statutory guidelines. The Outdoors Group is delighted to now offer a fully accredited, first aid course that gives you two qualifications: ITC Level 3 Paediatric First Aid ITC Forest School First Aid This course is run outdoors from our beautiful woodland at Exmouth Forest School.
