Designed for school-aged children from Reception and up, this class is the final stage of our ballet progression pathway. Dancers build on the foundations developed in our younger classes, growing in confidence, technique, and their understanding of ballet. This structured 45-minute class develops posture, balance, coordination, musicality, strength, and flexibility while introducing more advanced ballet movements and challenges. Children are encouraged to think creatively, contribute ideas, and express themselves through movement and choreography. Working independently and as part of a team, dancers develop confidence, communication skills, and a sense of achievement in a fun, positive, and inspiring environment. Uniform is not compulsory; anything comfortable to dance in is perfect. We also offer a beautiful range of tutus and dancewear through our website, and teachers can assist with ballet shoe fittings if required.

Creativity is encouraged throughout, giving children opportunities to explore movement, contribute ideas, and develop their own choreographic skills. Whether your child is new to dance or already loves performing, Dance Starz provides a supportive environment where they can make friends, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of dance. This class is exclusively for pupils attending Westgate School Uniform is not compulsory; leggings and a t-shirt or school PE kit are perfect for class. We also offer personalised Dance Starz t-shirts and jazz shoes, let us know if you wish to buy!
