Welcome to the Stockton-on-Tees First Class Learning Centre. Emma Orton, Centre Manager, has been running highly successful after-school maths, English and science tuition centres for over 10 years. Students of all ages are supported with maths, English and science tuition. Emma individualises each student’s learning programme to target any gaps in understanding and to further develop knowledge and skills. The bespoke programmes help with school work

and exam preparation as well as build confidence and independence. A varied approach is offered which includes 1:1 support and independent learning provision. Our maths, English and science programmes are flexible and tailored to learners’ individual needs and abilities so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Ongoing assessments are carried out to measure progress and enable Emma to adapt learning programmes accordingly. The ‘little and often’ approach is recommended and 10-15 minutes per day homework is provided to encourage repetition and practice.
