The centre provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. There is a team of dedicated assistants on hand to assist students when required. Kumon caters for all ages and abilities; the youngest child at the centre is currently three years of age and the oldest is 16. Many of the children have been with the centre for several years and have grown to work independently and confidently, which has enabled many of the children to reach and stay in the top sets at school. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Unlike the process of a traditional tuition provider, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands. The role of the Kumon Instructor is to provide guidance, support and encouragement, allowing the student to develop their own independent learning strategies.
