What age is too young to start the piano?
Exposing children to music is fundamentally the key to unlocking their interest in learning and pursuing a musical instrument, such as the piano. Research suggests a good starting age for formal piano tuition is in the region of between seven to nine years old. Our unique approach, here at LP Music Tuition in Worcester (UK), allows children as young as three years old to experience a fun introduction to formal piano lessons , and although lessons are structured very differently, I have found that introducing formal music tuition at this age provides an engaging and inspiring starting point for children, increasing positive outcomes in engagement and motivation with their learning long-term.
