The Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) was founded as a national organisation in 1969 and is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through the provision of horse riding and carriage driving. Our kind and patient horses benefit the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults. With fun activities like riding and carriage driving, we provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement – all supported by 18,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at nearly 500 RDA centres all over the UK. Gareloch RDA was founded in 1976. We are a registered charity (SC028645) and are affiliated to RDA National. We cater for adults, children and young people, and currently have over 50 riders and drivers with a wide range of physical and/or learning disabilities. We are based in Helensburgh at Colgrain Equestrian Centre for carriage driving and Ardencaple Livery Yard for everything else.
