Children’s Street & Freestyle Dance Classes
For children who enjoy modern music and energetic choreography, our Street & Freestyle classes are packed with fun, creativity and movement. Classes include: Street Dance Freestyle Dance Commercial Dance Performance routines Musical interpretation Fitness and flexibility Children learn exciting routines while improving coordination, rhythm, confidence and performance skills in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. There are also opportunities to perform at events, take part in shows, enter competitions and work towards recognised dance examinations.

Children’s & Teenagers’ Dance Classes in Macclesfield
DanceTech also provides a range of dance classes for children and teenagers in Bollington near Macclesfield . Children can learn Ballroom & Latin dancing , including many of the dances seen on Strictly Come Dancing , or enjoy the energy and freedom of our Street Dance & Freestyle classes . Classes provide an enjoyable environment where young dancers can develop coordination, musicality, confidence, fitness and dance ability. There are opportunities to progress through the IDTA examination system and, for dancers who wish to take their dancing further, opportunities to participate in events and competitions. We offer different classes according to age and previous dance experience. At DanceTech Ballroom Academy, we offer fun, friendly and professional Ballroom & Latin dance classes for children and teenagers aged 5 years and over. Whether they’re taking their very first dance steps or looking to develop their skills further, our classes provide the perfect place to learn, make friends, build confidence and enjoy dancing.
From 5 years
Junior Ballroom & Latin Dance Classes
Our Junior Ballroom & Latin dance class is particularly suitable for younger children and those who are new to Ballroom and Latin dancing. It’s a friendly and encouraging introduction to dance where children can learn the basic steps, rhythms and techniques of popular Ballroom and Latin dances. Children have the opportunity to learn dances such as the Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Quickstep, Rumba, Samba and more , including many of the dances they may recognise from Strictly Come Dancing . As well as learning to dance, classes help younger dancers develop confidence, coordination, balance, musicality and social skills . No previous Ballroom or Latin dance experience is necessary. Junior Street Dance & Freestyle Class
Our Junior Street Dance & Freestyle class is a fun and energetic dance class particularly suitable for younger children and those who are new to Street Dance and Freestyle. Children learn exciting routines and dance movements to music while developing rhythm, coordination, fitness, flexibility, confidence and performance skills . The class provides a friendly environment where younger dancers can learn at an appropriate pace, make new friends and, most importantly, enjoy dancing. No previous Street Dance or Freestyle experience is necessary. Children who would like to progress further can also have opportunities to work towards IDTA examinations and develop the skills required for competitions and performances.
