Bramcote Swimming Club Academy accepts children from the age of 4. Beginners are accepted up to the age of 7. Launched in January 2017, it prepares talented young swimmers for club swimming. The Academy works alongside your child’s existing swim school and sessions at the Academy are in addition to lessons at your child’s swim school. to discuss the options. Your child will be one of a small group of children all of a similar level of competence. We run sessions in the Main Pool at Bramcote Leisure Centre and at The Lenton Centre. All sessions are led by Swim England Level 2 qualified swimming teachers with support from other qualified teachers and poolside volunteers who are all fully DBS checked and have undergone safeguarding training, in line with SwimMark guidance. (SwimMark is Swim England's ‘quality’ mark). All sessions are supervised by a qualified lifeguard.
We also welcome enquiries from children and adults who are competent swimmers. Newcomers are assessed by the coaching staff and are placed into groups based upon their age and capabilities. Main Pool swimmers train in one of our swim squads, based on their age and capabilities.
