Welcome to Saplings in the Wood, our little slice of woodland paradise just outside of Torrington, North Devon. Here at Saplings, we hold regular stay and play forest school sessions for children from walking up to about 8 years old. Each session is themed and we begin the session with an introduction and storytime. monster trucks, tree house, zip wire and more. We also hold regular baby and toddler sessions for newborns up to about 2 years old. During these sessions we have mats set up on the forest floor with rugs and toys and books for the babies to play with. Toddlers can join us on the rug or go off and explore the forest school. All adults are served a hot drink of their choice (including barista coffee from a local Devon roaster - we’re passionate about coffee) and a slice of the cake of the day, included with their ticket. In addition to our regular sessions which run throughout the week including school holidays, we also host birthday parties and gatherings.
