Whether dancing for fun, for a future career, or towards their ISTD Professional Examinations in Ballet, Modern and Tap, we ensure every student reaches their full potential as they learn to dance, make fantastic friends and create wonderful memories!
At Grayes, we follow the Ballet Syllabus of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. These exciting syllabi range in levels suitable for children as young as 2½ years old up to Vocational Examinations to prepare students for entry into full time training. We offer classes from Babies up to Advanced 2 level.

These exciting syllabi range in levels suitable for children as young as four years old up to Vocational Examinations to prepare students for entry into full time training. We offer classes from Primary up to Advanced 2 level. Pupils are worked towards examinations to complete each grade. Anyone at any age can have a go at tap and in such a short space of time gain a huge sense of achievement. Much of the tap we teach here at Grayes is a fusion of English and American styles. We work to the set syllabus but always have lots of fun with freework and rhythms. Grayes students have gained places with the renowned tap company Tap Attack.
Ballet

At Grayes, we follow the Ballet Syllabus of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. These exciting syllabi range in levels suitable for children as young as 2½ years old up to Vocational Examinations to prepare students for entry into full time training. We offer classes from Babies up to Advanced 2 level. Pupils are worked towards examinations to complete each grade. A good ballet technique is the basis for all styles of dance and will improve a child's sense of poise, grace and elegance. In their ballet class the students will learn correct alignment and placing of the body and gain an appreciation of music and artistry within a disciplined environment. Through our training we have supported students to successfully audition winning places with The Royal Ballet, Elmhurst Ballet School, Central School of Ballet, Ballet Boost and Tring Park.
Jazz

This is a vibrant, high energy form of dance. Its classes are structured, beginning with a warm-up and often ending with a routine. It's a class to stretch and strengthen, and to focus on the more technical moves, such as kicks, turns and leaps. Music plays a very important part in Jazz, exploring many different musical styles and then using the body to express these fully. Children can enjoy these classes from 7 years old. We offer classes from Junior to Advanced Jazz.
