Camp notes Age 8+ years Our three-day Ballet Camp is filled with dance, creativity, and fun. Dancers learn ballet variations, enjoy classes including stretch and centre work, watch excerpts of the classic ballet, design costumes, and take part in themed games and activities—all inspired by the magic of a soon to be revealed ballet! ✨ Cancellations: A 50% refund is available 21 days before the workshop start date, after this date workshops are non refundable. Please understand we are a small business and costs must be covered. We have an hour scheduled for lunch. During this time children will be allowed to go to the park next door with an SDA member of staff ⏰️Time keeping: Please ensure you are on time, ideally arrive no more then 10 minutes before start time. Ability dependent: A Jazz based class. Your Dancer will continue their training, focussing their strength, flexibility, performance and musicality. Aiming to perfect their technique whilst enjoying a love for Dance. This class requires previous dance experience. The teacher may request you to attend private lessons or build experience and knowledge in the Intermediate class first. Dancers are required to take an additional class of , musical theatre, ballet, street, contemporary or lyrical to assist progression.
A ballet class for those with previous dance experience. This class begins to look at technique in further detail, from here dancers are invited to join Introduction to pointe. Dancers are required to take an additional class of jazz, musical theatre, acro, contemporary or lyrical to progress into pointe work. Beginners to ballet are welcome to trial. We will suggest another class to accompany this, plus private lessons.
Teacher - Jaz Modern From our tiniest dancers to our seniors, modern is a brilliant foundation for contemporary, commercial and jazz. Learn the foundations of these techniques which in turn will really progress skills needed for multiple dance styles. Taught in age appropriate creative ways to get the very best results for the students.
Street is a commercial style, often seen in film and TV. Available as a recreational and performance class This class requires previous dance or gymnastics experience. Dancers are encouraged to take an adtional class of contemporary, lyrical. tap, musical theatre or jazz to aid progression

Teacher - Maddy Ballet Development: A class designed to take alongside one of our regular ballet classes. We focus on technique and artistry following the Royal Ballet ATAP programme. Students gain a greater understanding of technique, performance skills, as well as learning about choreography and studying ballets like Alice in Wonderland, Swan Lake and many more.

SDA's recreational classes are designed for children aged 16 months and up. Our sessions offer a fantastic way for kids to stay active, learn exciting routines, and make new friends in a lively and enjoyable environment. Join as many classes as you wish, switch them each half term, and experience the joy of dance without any extra commitments. It’s all about having fun while keeping fit! Our sessions combine elements of acrobatics, gymnastics and tumbling to create a fun, high-energy environment where children can grow in both skill and confidence. We focus on progressing from the foundations with the ability to accommodate gymnasts of all levels – while also building: Physical strength and control Confidence Teamwork Clear communication Led by experienced instructors, each class supports children to progress at their own pace, master new moves, and develop both physically and socially. This class is combined Tap and Ballet taking dancers to the next level in rhythm, control, and technique. With the precision and poise of ballet alongside the energy and musicality of tap, this class builds upon their foundation skills. It’s the perfect complement to Jazz, Acro, Street, or Musical Theatre – helping dancers develop versatility, style, and stage presence across a wide range of styles. Beginners are very welcome into the class, no previous experience required. Dancers at this age often pick foundations up quickly and will be keeping up with those with previous experience in no time. This class starts from school Year 2
