Online Classes - Wednesdays 6.15pm to 7pm The Kumon Grangetown Study Centre opened its doors in May 2019 and currently supports children from Grangetown, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan and other regions across Wales. We currently support children as young as three years old all the way to 17 years old, enabling children of any age and ability develop key foundations in learning. Our unique study method focuses on supporting children to work independently, giving them confidence in their own abilities. We believe each child is unique, full of potential and able to learn far beyond our expectations. We also care about the well-being of our students so class sizes, whether in-centre or on-line are small, friendly with a calm atmosphere conducive to learning. You child’s Kumon journey will begin with an assessment, which will help determine your child’s ‘just right’ level. Once your child is enrolled they will be invited to attend either in-centre or on-line classes regularly, so the Instructor and assistants can observe incredible learning growth and monitor progress regularly in order to set daily worksheet study accordingly. Our Minecraft Club is designed to be creative, educational and fully age-appropriate. Children will learn how to build, problem-solve and explore early coding concepts using Minecraft Education in a safe, structured environment. Our main ethos is centred around the acronym CRAFT. Creativity, Resilience, Awareness, Friendship and Teamwork. Whilst coding and STEM is important and will be taught during our sessions, our main priority is having fun, learning and being a good human. Little Adventurers - Pre-school Groups These child-led sessions involve lots of exploring the woods with a free flow of activities available, such as the mud kitchen and tree swing. They include craft activities as well as adult-initiated activities. The price includes a biscuit and hot chocolate for the children. On the last session in each group of sessions we have a fire and toast marshmallows! Currently these sessions run during term time with a reduced cost for siblings (under 12 months free if accompanying a paying sibling). You pay in advance for a block of sessions each half term. All ages are welcome from babies up to pre-schoolers.

The Kumon maths and English Study Programmes offer what traditional tuition gives to your child and more. Kumon goes one step further by helping each child develop self-learning skills, enabling them to tackle challenging work without reliance on a teacher. Our aim is to help any child of any ability to progress and develop a curiosity and love for learning.
Your local Instructor will set work for your child at just the right level, enabling them to build confidence in their abilities and progress their maths and English skills in small, manageable steps through daily study. They will visit their local study centre up to twice a week for sessions with their Instructor. This allows the Instructor to tailor and adapt each child’s study plan to their abilities, through observing their progress and fluency at each level. Our study programmes are individualised to each child to help them establish strong learning foundations and a positive learning experience, to build skills and confidence for their future.
