St Christopher's Playgroup
Here at St Christopher’s Playgroup, we work hard to ensure your child gets a great pre-school experience to prepare them for the next stage of their journey. Part of the local community for over 50 years, we are a registered charity run by a committee of parents. Based in the two church halls, our days are filled with play-based learning through arts, craft, construction, music, dance, and adventure. We also visit the church itself at special times such as Harvest Festival, Christmas, and Easter. When your child joins us, our dedicated and enthusiastic team will welcome them warmly and help them to settle. Their keyworker will regularly update you via our online Tapestry journal. From day one, the staff at St Christopher’s have made Charlie feel so welcome. He is naturally shy but was so warmly encouraged to join in with peers and has loved it from day one. Not only does he love the activities the team prepare for him, as a primary teacher, it’s really clear to see through the tapestry platform how the St Christopher’s staff equip the children with the foundation skills needed to start reception at school.
