Innovation Lab (Invitation Only): SHMC
Innovation Lab is our invite-only programme for the most experienced members of the Beyond Blocks community. Students in this group have typically been building with us for three years or more and are ready to move beyond simply attending sessions. In Innovation Lab, students work alongside Beyond Blocks teachers and volunteers in multi-generational teams to design, prototype, and test the challenges that will later appear in our clubs. They will experiment with new robotics systems, explore ambitious engineering ideas, and learn how to guide others through complex problems. This is where experienced builders begin the journey from student to mentor. Innovation Lab members help shape the future of Beyond Blocks while developing the leadership, creativity, and technical skills needed to inspire the next generation of robot builders. Places are by invitation only.
