The Forest Hill Study Centre opened in 1993 and offers supplementary maths and English programmes, which are suitable for children of all ages and abilities. Currently students at the study centre range in age from three to 16 years old. Some of the students are starting their A levels, and others are currently at various stages in primary school.

The Forest Hill Study Centre is fortunate to have a large number of assistants. They range from students who have studied the programmes to adult staff, most of whom have had children studying the programmes. This gives us a large base of knowledge of all aspects of the maths and English programmes, which we can share with our students and their families, thus helping them to get the best from the supplementary education.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
