The centre was established in 2007 and helps students to achieve their full potential in English and maths.

The Allerton Study Centre currently helps a significant number of secondary school students, proving that it is never too late to start the Kumon programmes. Currently, the youngest students at the centre are pre-schoolers and the eldest is in year 11, although Kumon caters for all ages and abilities.

twice a week and they receive individual attention from Christine, the Instructor, and her staff of 16 class assistants. At each class, a child studying one subject will be at the centre for approximately 30 minutes, and a student studying both will be at the centre for approximately 45 minutes. The Allerton Study Centre is a drop-in centre so you can arrive at a time convenient for you and your child.

Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
