The centre welcomes children that are looking to extend their learning and move onto more advanced work than the school curriculum allows, and we provide support and guidance to motivate students that need to recap and strengthen their academic abilities. Regular parent meetings are held during the year to discuss student’s progress and to share study projections. All new parents are encouraged to attend a meeting after the first month of Kumon study. Unlike the process of a traditional tuition provider, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands. The role of the Kumon Instructor is to provide guidance, support and encouragement, allowing the student to develop their own independent learning strategies.
