of the Kumon worksheets students develop good study habits and key skills such as concentration, stamina, perseverance, and independent learning. Students receive a free assessment before embarking upon their individualised programme of study, and will then attend the centre up to twice a week, with work to complete at home over the rest of the week. Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
