Children are encouraged to work at a steady pace – with aims to complete work within standard completion times, and to maintain focus on tasks for long periods of time, helping to build stamina. These work skills develop a good study attitude, resilience in tackling difficult tasks, the confidence to learn with a ‘give-it-a-go’ attitude, and most importantly a love of learning. While the Kumon Maths programme progresses from the very basics of counting to calculus and beyond, all without the use of a calculator, our English programme trains students to become avid readers from the get-go and to summarise and critically analyse different genres of text. Our centre is open two days per week and students can physically attend up to two classes weekly. We also offer online zoom sessions for three days a week. We have successfully introduced our tried and tested Kumon worksheets in a digital format via KUMON CONNECT, making Kumon more accessible and convenient for students to study, using their tablet and stylus anytime and from anywhere.
