The Sydenham Study Centre was established in February 2006 and continues to provide the Kumon Maths and English Programmes to families in and around the local area. The majority of the centre’s students attend local schools and currently range from three to 16 years old and develop children of all ages and abilities. subject. Along with the Instructor, the centre has a receptionist and trained assistants who support students and provide guidance where necessary. The Instructor is available to give guidance to parents and students regarding their work, during class or via telephone call as required. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Unlike the process of a traditional tuition provider, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands and the centre holds an annual award ceremony where the efforts and achievements of students who have done so are formally recognised.
