The Kumon Canada Water Study Centre provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. The centre opened in 2012 and many of the students attend schools and live in the local community and some travel from nearby neighbourhoods.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

to complete their daily Kumon work in the centre, parents or guardians can browse the books in the library, use an internet access point or grab a coffee. A text message service informs parents when children are ready to be picked up.

There are seven assistants who work in the centre alongside the Instructor, supporting the students' development.

Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
