This class is suitable for dancers at the appropriate level for the class. Our Tap & Ballet classes offer the perfect combination of two of the most fundamental dance styles, creating a fun, varied and well-rounded dance experience. Ballet provides the foundation for all dance styles, helping children to develop coordination, flexibility, stamina, posture, balance and creativity. And tap dance complements ballet perfectly by developing rhythm, musicality, coordination and stamina in an energetic environment. Together, these two styles provide an excellent grounding in dance, combining strong technical training with creativity, musicality and enjoyment. Our classes are designed to be supportive, engaging and fun, helping every dancer to grow in confidence while developing the skills that will benefit them across all genres of dance.

Performance Team
Joining the performance team is an exciting opportunity for students to further develop their skills and take part in a range of performances. It is important that students who wish to join are fully prepared for the commitment and standard required. Students must: - be aged 12+ - be attending a minimum of two dance genres per week at Zest Dance, one of which must include ballet, to support the development of essential technique - be able to commit to the 60 minute performance team session on a Tuesday 6:00 - 7:00pm - be able to commit additional time to team performances, competitions and additional opportunities throughout the academic year Entry to the performance team is entirely at the teacher and principal’s discretion, and opportunities to join are only offered at specific times of the year, typically during quieter periods rather than during show or competition seasons. The next opportunity to join will be September 2026.

Pre-pointe & Pointework
This class is invite only for students who are suitable to develop their training further. Students will attend the class in flat ballet shoes to begin with to build strength, and when given permission by the teacher and principal, they will be invited to move into pointe shoes.
