About First Class Learning East Croydon
Welcome to the East Croydon First Class Learning Study Centre. Simone Farnon, Centre Manager, has been running highly successful after-school maths and English classes for over 18 years (8 years at Kumon). Students of all ages attend our centre for around 45 minutes per subject. then set a programme of work of around 10-15 minutes per day to do at home, practising what they have learnt in the class to ensure mastery and fluency at each step. The individualised programme is targeted to fill any existing gaps in their understanding. This therefore helps with their school work, builds confidence and develops independent learning skills, something that is extremely important in today's busy classroom environments. Our English and maths programmes are flexible and tailored to the learner's individual needs and abilities so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Regular testing ensures that the best possible progress is made. The 'little and often' approach, with plenty of repetition and practice, really does make a huge difference.
