Designed for school-aged children from Reception and up, this class is the final stage of our ballet progression pathway. Dancers build on the foundations developed in our younger classes, growing in confidence, technique, and their understanding of ballet. This structured 45-minute class develops posture, balance, coordination, musicality, strength, and flexibility while introducing more advanced ballet movements and challenges. Children are encouraged to think creatively, contribute ideas, and express themselves through movement and choreography. Working independently and as part of a team, dancers develop confidence, communication skills, and a sense of achievement in a fun, positive, and inspiring environment. Uniform is not compulsory; anything comfortable to dance in is perfect. We also offer a beautiful range of tutus and dancewear through our website, and teachers can assist with ballet shoe fittings if required.

Mixed Ages Ballet - COMING SOON

Our Mixed Age Ballet class is a magical introduction to dance for children aged 6months to 4yrs. Perfect for little ones and siblings to enjoy together, this fun-filled class combines music, movement, imagination, and sensory play in a warm and nurturing environment. Parents and carers join in the adventure, creating precious memories while supporting their child's development. Through engaging activities, props, and simple ballet movements, children build confidence, coordination, creativity, and social skills, all while having lots of fun! There’s no pressure to be perfect; every child is encouraged to learn at their own pace and celebrate their achievements. Our positive and supportive approach helps little dancers develop independence, self-belief, and a lifelong love of movement. There is no compulsory uniform at Starz; children can wear anything comfortable that they can move freely in. We also offer a beautiful range of dancewear & teachers can assist with fitting ballet shoes.

Introduction to Independent Ballet - COMING SOON

Our intro to independent Ballet class is the perfect next step for children who are ready to dance on their own while still having the reassurance of their parent or carer nearby. Building on the skills learned in our Mixed Age classes, dancers begin to focus more on ballet technique while continuing to learn through imagination, music, movement, and fun. Children participate independently while parents watch from the side, offering encouragement and support. Using exciting props and creative activities, dancers develop confidence, coordination, and a deeper understanding of ballet. This class is a fantastic stepping stone towards fully independent classes, helping children build important life skills such as listening, following instructions, taking turns, sharing, working with others, and becoming part of a team. Above all, we create a positive, nurturing environment where every child can grow in confidence, develop a love of dance, and celebrate their achievements.
