Dorchester Youth Theatre
Our aim is simple, inclusive theatre space for any young person looking to get involved with theatre on a local level. We have aimed to achieve a space where our members feel safe and supported and free to express themselves through the medium of Drama. Dorchester Youth Theatre (DYT) meets weekly in term time. We run 5 sessions with over 70 young people taking part aged from 6 to 19 years. There are no auditions and all abilities are welcome. The sessions are aimed at young people who have a passion for theatre and are interested in performing and developing their creativity. Also through the use of Drama and role play we help to develop children’s social and emotional well-being, improving their confidence and self-esteem.
