Langworthy Shito-Ryu Karate Association I began my karate journey back in 1985 at Langworthy Road Primary School, Salford at the age of 7 with Shotokan Karate. Unfortunately after 2 years the instructor moved on due to working away and could no longer continue but fortunately I was able to locate a new club not to far away but this meant I would have to changed styles to Shito-Ryu/Shukokai under Ken Yu Kai Karate Association at St Lukes Primary School Salford. Changing styles was a challenge at first but with the support of my new club I soon was able to pick up the new stances and Kata’s. After a few months my new Sensei, Dave Palmer, was able to secure a time slot back at my old training ground, Langworthy Road Primary School, The spiritual birth place of Langworthy Shito-Ryu Karate Association .
