We are going to be working with Youth Shedz Cymru to give free fishing sessions for local young people on our fishing boat. We would like to give back to the community, it is great to collaborate with Youth Shedz Cymru they liaise with local schools, groups, the police and other organisations trying to find the kids who need our support the most in our community. Their charity isn’t a typical youth club where we may see 40+ kids a week, they work with small groups of young people 13-25yrs old who may be struggling with confidence, may be neurodivergent, may struggle keeping out of trouble with police and school, not have many friends or a social group and some kids who may come from disadvantaged backgrounds where they don’t get to experience many things that other kids do, due to certain circumstances. We have asked Cybi Youth shedz to lead on this offer with the understanding that each young person who gets to come on the trip will sign an enrolment form to youth shedz, and will also complete a community project to raise funds for the RNLI as the new school term starts join our small Shedz group.
