This term, children will enjoy a varied STEM journey combining science, engineering, and maths through exciting hands-on challenges. Pupils will explore colourful science experiments, fossils, acids and bases, chromatography, slime, and material behaviour, while also building and testing creative engineering projects such as egg-drop protectors, harmonicas, paper plane launchers, and static electricity creations. Maths sessions will strengthen real-world number skills, logic, sorting, data handling, and geometry through money activities, Venn diagrams, and angles. Each session is designed to build curiosity, confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, and practical STEM thinking in a fun and age-appropriate way.

This term, KS2 pupils will build confidence as coders, game designers, and digital creators through a sequence of interactive Scratch projects. They will create characters, random-response programs, arcade games, racing games, endless runners, catching games, paddle games, virtual pets, and their own free-build projects. Pupils will also learn how to modify existing games and debug broken projects, developing a deeper understanding of how programmers test and improve software. Across the term, children explore variables, loops, conditions, events, randomisation, broadcasts, collision detection, scoring systems, and user interaction. The programme builds computational thinking, creativity, resilience, and problem-solving while giving pupils the chance to create playable digital projects each week.
