phrasing! 👣 Basic Tap Steps: We will introduce key beginner steps including: - Toe Taps - Shuffles - Ball Beats And more… 🧠 Patterning & Memory: Students will begin to learn how to remember and repeat short movement phrases, building towards choreographed routines! 🎶 Musicality & Listening Skills: Through fun rhythm games and call-and-response exercises, children will start to feel and respond to different tempos and styles of music! 🌟 Performance Skills: We will work on posture, confidence and expressive movement to help dancers shine both on stage and in everyday life - with opportunities to perform at our annual shows, recitals and community events! Class Uniform: - SBDC Purple T-shirt - Black leggings Footwear: Tap shoes with both toe and heel taps are great, but not required for 2 week trials! Students can begin in ballet shoes, jazz shoes or trainers for 2 week trials and early sessions. Tap shoes can be added as they settle into class.
