Junior Movers Tap (9 - 12yrs)

digs, basic turns and more… 🎶 Rhythm and timing – learning to hear and produce clean, clear tap sounds in time with the music using clapping, tapping props and movement to develop this! ✨ Posture and technique – focusing on safe and strong tap fundamentals! 💃🏻 Fun exercises and routines – to help dancers connect steps and develop memory and performance skills! 🎭 Confidence and creativity – encouraging every dancer to explore their musicality and personal style through fun activities, teamwork tasks and challenges! Whether your dancer dreams of the stage or just wants to try something new, Junior Movers Tap is a great way to build rhythm, coordination, and confidence – all while making some noise and having a blast! Performance Opportunities: - Students will have the opportunity to perform in our annual shows, recitals and community events! Class Uniform: - SBDC Purple T-Shirt - Black Leggings Footwear: Tap shoes with both toe and heel taps are great, but not required for 2 week trials! Students can begin in ballet shoes, jazz shoes or trainers for 2 week trials and early sessions. Tap shoes can be added as they settle into class.
