Our English programme concentrates on reading, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation, creative writing and handwriting. The initial diagnostic testing assesses the child's needs so that we can provide an individualised programme. For GCSE, our programme extends to cover the books they are studying at school.

About First Class Learning Harlow
Students of all ages attend our study centre on a Thursday. In these sessions they will hand in their completed work and begin their new set of work with the support of our tutors; their work will be returned and discussed with their tutor. They are then set a programme of work of 10-15 minutes per day to do at home, practising what they have learnt in the class to ensure proficiency and fluency at each step. team individualises each child’s learning path, which is targeted to fill any existing gaps in their understanding. This helps with their schoolwork, builds confidence, and develops independent learning skills, all of which are extremely important in today's busy classrooms in schools. Our English and maths programmes are flexible and tailored to learners' individual needs and abilities, so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Regular testing ensures that the best possible progress is made. The 'little and often' approach, with plenty of repetition and practice, really does make a huge difference.
