At a glance
Our main Russian School programme provides a continuous learning pathway from the age of three through to GCSE preparation. Our approach combines structured language teaching with communication, books, music, play-based learning and creative projects. Each theme is explored through carefully selected stories, activities, materials and practical tasks, giving children regular opportunities to hear, understand and use Russian in meaningful contexts.

Each four-hour session includes: Russian language and speech development; Vocabulary and communication; Reading and writing at an age-appropriate level; Children’s literature and guided discussion; Play-based and creative projects; A music session; An outdoor break in the school playground. Younger children develop their understanding and spoken Russian through stories, games, music and hands-on activities. As they progress, the programme places greater emphasis on confident reading, accurate writing, literature and expressing ideas clearly in both spoken and written Russian. Older pupils develop more advanced language skills and prepare for their GCSE examinations. The different parts of the programme are carefully connected. New vocabulary and language skills introduced during lessons are reinforced through books, projects, music and conversation, helping children use Russian naturally and confidently throughout the session. Saturday session: 2:00–6:00 pm
