A mixture of stage 2 and stage 3 children Stage 2 - Entry criteria: children are able to use buoyancy aids to swim 5 metres on their front and back plus can blow bubbles into the water. By the end of this stage children will be able to swim 5m unaided on their fronts and backs. Stage 3 - Entry criteria: children are able to swim 5m unaided on their front and backs. By the end of stage 3, children will be able to swim 10m on their fronts and backs. Differentiation in the lessons will be used to enable children to reach their potential.
