Improver 1 is for swimmers who can confidently swim between 5 and 15 metres unaided and are ready to refine their technique and build endurance. At this stage, swimmers will be working on Grade 5 and 6 skills. It covers your swimmer's progress booklet (including replacements), stickers and awards, and helps fund the special extras and celebrations we put on throughout the year. Improver 1 bridges the gap between beginner and more advanced swimming, helping swimmers develop consistency, stamina, and skill across multiple strokes.
