York Leisure Centre at Monks Cross combines fitness, swimming and climbing in one modern facility connected to York Stadium. The gym has everything for cardio and strength training, while there are two pools to choose from: a 25-metre pool for lane swimming and lessons, plus a family splash area and teaching pool. Try Clip 'N' Climb for something different, or get involved with group classes like aqua aerobics, yoga, step aerobics and power pump.

The sports hall and outdoor pitches cater for badminton, basketball, football and pickleball. We run over-50s sessions and children's programmes all week, and birthday parties bring the fun for younger visitors. Working alongside York City Football Club, York Knights RLFC and the NHS, we're here to keep the local community moving and healthy.
