opportunities for young girls to enter into a new sport as they grow up and we hope to change that by offering basketball sessions where girls can build their confidence, make friends and grow as a basketball player. Our two female coaches and ex-Hawks players, India and Teagan, run these sessions on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm-9pm. The two coaches have grown up playing basketball at Hawks and have both progressed onto national league teams, the Sussex Team and South East England and they are very passionate about more girls enjoying the benefits of the game of basketball. We host the sessions where girls of ages 10 to 14 can learn the skills of the game in a fun and supportive environment where we will aim to help them reach their full potential in the world of basketball. We encourage all of our girls to get involved in mixed teams too, as well as seeking opportunities for them to play at a National League level once they have developed their skills.
