About First Class Learning Ingleby Barwick and Yarm
Welcome to the Ingleby Barwick and Yarm First Class Learning Centre. We support young learners in the local community with both maths and English tuition. Chris Collins, the Centre Manager, has over thirty years’ teaching experience in secondary, primary and out-of-school settings. Our maths and English programmes are structured, flexible and tailored to learners’ individual needs and abilities so your child will only move on when they are confident

with a topic. The ‘little and often” approach, with plenty of repetition and practice, really does make a huge difference. Following an initial assessment, Chris will provide a structured, personalised daily plan of around 10-15 minutes study every day. One-to-one support is given when it is needed and youngsters are supported to become confident, independent learners through the development of mastery and fluency.
