At a glance
This class is designed for children in Year 1 & 2 at Primary school. The fundamentals of both ballet and tap technique are taught in fun, exciting and memorable ways. Ballet focuses on teaching the foundations of dance technique including correct posture, alignment and placement of the body. Tap teaches rhythm, coordination and balance. In Commercial, we dance to a range of up-beat chart music, old skool anthems and Disney classics. Children are encouraged

to develop their own choreography skills and to interpret the music in their own unique way. We often play games and use props to engage our little dancers, encouraging them to use their musicality and creativity throughout the class.

About Hailey Black School of Dance
The Hailey Black School of Dance is a fun, welcoming, confidence building dance school based in Wakefield which offers dance tuition for children from 18 months-18 years. We follow the International Dance Teachers Association syllabus (IDTA) and offer lots of performance opportunities throughout the year. Students are encouraged to develop their natural ability, talents and creativity in a safe and friendly environment.
