Contemporary dance classes for young people aged 5 to 18 in Stratford, East London. Floor work, release technique, weight and momentum, and choreography that's about something. Contemporary is the style where dancers stop performing steps and start saying things — and for teenagers in particular, that turns out to matter enormously. It builds strength and control that show up in every other style, and it's the discipline most valued if a dancer later auditions for college or conservatoire. Some previous dance experience is helpful but not essential.
