This class is designed for children in Year 1 & 2 at Primary school. The fundamentals of both ballet and tap technique are taught in fun, exciting and memorable ways. Ballet focuses on teaching the foundations of dance technique including correct posture, alignment and placement of the body. Tap teaches rhythm, coordination and balance. foster self-expression throughout the class. The Y1-Y2 Ballet & Tap class take part in our Christmas & Summer showcases, where we perform to friends and family at a local theatre. We also hold annual “Parent Watching Weeks” where we invite parents to come and see their children in class. The uniform for this class can be purchased from www.hai.mydancestore.co.uk You will need: Girls - Cerise Leotard - Cerise Skirt - Pink Ballet Shoes - Black Tap Shoes Boys - Black T-shirt - Black Shorts - Black Ballet shoes - Black Tap Shoes *For TRIAL pupils - please wear black shorts or leggings and a T-shirt. Children will also need to bring a drink.

About Hailey Black School of Dance
The Hailey Black School of Dance is a fun, welcoming, confidence building dance school based in Wakefield which offers dance tuition for children from 18 months-18 years. We follow the International Dance Teachers Association syllabus (IDTA) and offer lots of performance opportunities throughout the year. Students are encouraged to develop their natural ability, talents and creativity in a safe and friendly environment.
