and coordination through basic acrobatics, dance technique, and balance exercises. They will learn introductory acro skills such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, forward/backward bends, and basic bridges, while working on improving their balance, posture, and alignment. Dance sequences and combinations are integrated into each class, allowing students to explore how acro movements can be used in a dance context. The class emphasizes the development of core strength and body control, which are essential for acrobatic movements and dance alike. Students will also work on flexibility exercises to improve their splits, back flexibility, and overall mobility, allowing them to progress smoothly into more complex acro skills as they advance. Acro-Dance Level 1 is an introduction to the fusion of acrobatics and dance, encouraging students to experiment with different dance styles while gaining the confidence to perform acro tricks with style. Performance elements will be explored as students work on creating simple dance routines that incorporate acrobatic movements, helping them build coordination and musicality while strengthening their dance performance skills. Progression: As students master the foundational skills in Acro-Dance Level 1, they will be prepared to move on to Acro-Dance Level 2, where they will begin to tackle more advanced acrobatic movements, such as walkovers, back handsprings, and more complex acro-dance routines. This class sets the foundation for building the strength, flexibility, and technique required for more advanced levels of acro-dance. If your child has not attended an Acro-Dance class with us before, they will be assessed during their trial class to determine the appropriate level based on their current skills. Progression to the next level will be at the teacher’s discretion, ensuring that each student moves at their own pace while continuing to develop their abilities safely and effectively. Our experienced acro-dance instructors provide personalized attention and guidance to help each student achieve their individual goals, whether they are preparing for exams, performances, or simply developing their acrobatic dance skills. Acro-Dance Level 1 offers a supportive and fun environment to help students build a strong foundation in both acrobatics and dance, while gaining the confidence to perform and express themselves through movement.
